Moderna Vaccine Trials For Kids; IKEA Going Green; World Elder Abuse Day; Cloverleaf

UF Health Jacksonville has begun COVID-19 vaccine trials for children under two.

Currently, Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is approved for anyone age 12 and up and Moderna's vaccine is available to those age 16 and up.  

Mobeen Rathore serves as:

  • Professor and Associate Chair, Department of Pediatrics at University of Florida
  • Chair, Infection Prevention and Control Committee, Baptist Health System
  • Hospital Epidemiologist and Chief, Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology, Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

He joined us with more on the trials and why its important for everyone to get vaccinated.

World Elder Abuse Day

June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness DayElder financial abuse and fraud are estimated to cost older Americans up to $36.5 billion each year. However, there is now a free online workshop to educate people about these elder scams, and how to protect themselves from them.   Linda Levin is CEO at Eldersource, and joined us with more information.

Cloverleaf
