Nassau County is home to a new theatre group based in Yulee.
It’s called Blue Fire Theatre.
Founder Toni D’Amico said Friday onFirst Coast Connect with Melissa Ross she picked Yulee as the group’s home base because of all the growth underway in the western part of the county.
“There’s a lot of infrastructure and building going on, on State Road 200, and there’s a lot of people starting to move into that area. And it’s an area that’s lacking in things to do. And they have a thing going on—Timbers To Tides—from 95 to the bridge in Yulee that they’ve been talking about. They want to build it up. They want to make it a place that people don’t just drive through,” D’Amico said.
