No Plans? No Problem! Things To Do This Weekend On The First Coast

Comedy, storefront art, and one big country music concert are what's happening this weekend on the First Coast.Friday, June 13 – Bruce Bruce’s larger than life comic style has been entertaining audiences young and old, of all backgrounds, for years. Although known for “adult comedy,” he prides himself on not using vulgarity just to win a laugh. He's brings Ms. Gin, Nod Ross, Shay Clemons and Red Grand to the Florida Theatre for Bruce Bruce and Friends Fathers Day Weekend Comedy Bash. More info at FloridaTheatre.com.

Friday, June 13 – “Dirt Altar,” a collaborative installation betwaeen artists Jim Draper and Casey James for The Looking Lab: Art in Empty Storefronts, opens at 6 p.m. at  107 E. Bay Street. The installation explores the relationship between ecclesiastic and the secular iconophilia. Draper will read two fictional stories with a live score by Robin Rutenberg.

Saturday, June 14 – The Seawalk Music Fest, a free festival celebrating North Florida’s local artists and food, will be at Seawalk Pavilion at Jacksonville Beach startingh at noon.. Sidereal, On Guard, Ivey West Band, JacksonVegas, Herd of Watts, The Corbitt Brothers Band, S.P.O.R.E., and Be Easy are scheduled to perform. More info online.

Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15 – Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, and Big & Rich headline the much anticipated Florida Country Superfest at EverBank Field. More info at FloridaCountrySuperfest.com.

Monday, June 16 – The Jacksonville Armada Football Club hosts a free World Cup watch party of team USA's first match against Ghana from 5-8 p.m. at Jacksonville Landing. The game will be shown on the big screen in the courtyard with live music before and after, a samba dancer, soccer "experiences" and prizes.
