There's art, theater, and beer in the works this weekend on the First Coast.Friday, January 24 — Preview the new exhibition Material Transformations at MOCA, featuring the works of artists who find symbolism in the very unconventional substances they use to construct their works of art. Friday, January 24 - Sunday, Jan. 26 — Enjoy a high-octane theatrical experience by surrounding yourself in the explosion of comedy, music and technology that is Blue Man Group. Info at ArtistSeriesJax.org.

Saturday, January 25 — The Specktator and Unity Plaza are hosting Art in the Park, a family-friendly event to support the work of Keith Haring’s Ghost — and peace, love and unity in general. Limited art supplies will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Event starts at 10 a.m. More info on Facebook.

Saturday, January 25 — Join the JAX Chamber, One Spark, Sunshine Soccer Group, THE PLAYERS Championship, and the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville for the Locals Only Beer Fest, the first time that all of our local craft breweries have been together exclusively in one spot. Intuition, Bold City, Aardwolf, Enging 15, Greenroom, and Pinglehead will be on tap, along with food trucks. More info on Facebook.
