Northside LOVE Arts & Vendors Market Set For This Sunday

A new event is taking place this weekend on Jacksonville’s Northside.

The Northside LOVE Arts and Vendors Market seeks to build bridges in the community. It’s a family- friendly event supporting the north side of town. The fun begins Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Lonnie C. Miller Regional Park.

Northside LOVE co-founder Leandrew Mills III says the idea came from the impetus to provide a positive, ongoing event for an area of town that's often portrayed in an unflattering light.

"We want to showcase the positive, support our local business owners and heal divisions. We invite everyone to come out to this free, family-friendly and fun event!" he said.

Northside LOVE Arts & Vendors Market happens one Sunday a month, and features live music, health screenings, food trucks, local business vendors and awards handed out to students from nearby schools.

The market will return August 25, September 29, October 27, and November 24th.

According to Mills, the acronym LOVE stands for "Lifting Our Various Enterprises."
