Police have released photos of a suspect in two Avondale robberies last night that left one dead and another injured.
Police were dispatched to the CVS at the corner of San Juan Ave. and Roosevelt Blvd. at 3:14AM this morning. They were then sent to Mojo BBQ, less than two miles away on St Johns Ave, at 3:58AM.
Investigators aren’t sure if the two are related, but are looking for possible connections.
Police said the armed suspect pictured entered the CVS, demanded money, then shot a victim in the head.
The bullet ricocheted off the victim’s head. The victim was transported by first responders to an area hospital, and has since been released.
When police arrived at Mojo BBQ less than an hour later, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office pronounced a worker dead at the scene.
