One Spark's Joe Sampson On 2014 And Beyond

Twitter

One Spark’s second annual crowdfunding festival is coming up April 9-13 in downtown Jacksonville.

The non-profit aims to connect ideas in art, innovation, music, technology and science with the resources to get them off the ground. Last year’s inaugural event drew more than 130,ooo people to Downtown to view over 400 project entries.

A lot has happened since then. Some of the One Spark founders launched the KYN business accelerator.

One Spark partnered with the Schultz Center to create EdSpark to fund projects designed to enhance learning and teaching. And they have even more planned.

Joe Sampson, executive director of One Spark, joined Mike Miller on First Coast Connect to discuss this year's festival and the future of One Spark.
