ONLY IN FLORIDA do people think it’s okay to pay your water bill with cocaine.
Employees at the Deltona Water Office were evacuated the other day after a customer handed a cashier an envelope with white powder in it.
HAZMAT teams responded and tested the powder, and they quickly determined it was crack cocaine. Sheriff’s deputies are investigating. (Daily Mail)
ONLY IN FLORIDA do college professors secretly film their female students with a camera pen.
65-year-old Don Samuelson is under arrest after the co-eds in his class at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine figured out he was surreptitiously videotaping them. Police recovered the camera pen and thumb drive which showed tight shows of one woman’s chest and also some upskirt shots.
Samuelson told police he was trying to gather proof that the women weren’t wearing undergarments in class. He’s on administrative leave and could face up to five years in prison. (The Smoking Gun)
And finally, ONLY IN FLORIDA do potheads accidentally shoot themselves in the stomach.
18-year-old Charles Mac Hutchison is recovering in a Tallahassee hospital this morning after he shot himself in the gut with a stolen gun. The accident occurred as he finished smoking a joint outside a neighborhood McDonald’s.
His brother says Hutchison was attempting to uncock the .38 caliber revolver while simultaneously tucking it into his waistband, when he shot himself. (The News Herald)
