A new committee investigating JEA could ask for documents going back years to try to get to the bottom of how, when and why the city-owned utility began looking for a private buyer.

The special committee of the Jacksonville City Council met for the first time on Monday, and their work is being closely watched. Attorney Audrey Moran is one of the members of Our Jax, a new advocacy group calling for transparency and accountability in local government. She joined us in the studio.

First Coast Connect Book Club

This month’s selection is Autopsy of a Boring Wife by Marie-Renee Lavoie. The novel looks at divorce through the lens of literature. First Coast Connect Book Club Facilitator Stacey Goldring said it's an education in the lasting emotional effects of separation.
