The city approved a permit May 4 for Peloton to build-out in the former Tommy Bahama space at St. Johns Town Center at a cost of $800,000.

WJCT News partner the Jacksonville Daily Record reports Peloton will stock treadmills, bikes and offer a trial test lounge. The company sells equipment and virtual and on-demand classes.

Contractor Terry Adams Inc. of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, will renovate 3,228 square feet at 4813 River City Drive, No. 107.

Tommy Bahama moved across the street where it will open in a larger space with its Marlin Bar concept.

It will be the seventh Peloton in Florida and one of at least 75 in the U.S. Peloton said it operates 81 showrooms in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom and Germany.
