The robbery at this SunTrust branch is not thought to be related to any other robberies, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police are searching for the man who robbed a bank in Springfield this morning. The suspect is believed to have fled north on Main Street in a white pickup truck with tinted windows.

The robbery happened shortly after 10 a.m. at the SunTrust Bank on N. Main Street and 17th Street. A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spokesman says a black man around 5-foot-7-inches tall with salt-and-pepper hair walked in and demanded money. Though he did not display a weapon, the clerk complied, and the suspect was able to leave with an undisclosed amount of cash and get in a white domestic pickup truck parked outside.

WJCT spoke with Bruce Jackson, who owns the Uniform Man shop less than a block from the SunTrust. He says, though the same branch was robbed before, he's not worried about the safety of the neighborhood and hopes to see business continue briskly at his Springfield shop.
