The best selling rap artistonce referred to as Mr. 305 is now a paid ambassador for Visit Florida, the state's tourism marketing corporation. Rapper Pitbull is working on a music video showcasing the state.Pitbull’s real name is Armando Christian Pérez. He’s a Miami native; his parents emigrated from Cuba. Now he calls himself Mr. Worldwide – since he’s become an international star. Pitbull’s more than 100 million social media followers make him an attractive partner for Visit Florida.

 

His latest promotion is on the social media platform Flipagram, teasing the upcoming video for the song "Sexy Beaches" featuring singer Chloe Angelides.

 

Pitbull will promote his home state with #LoveFL on video screens at his concerts, including a New Year’s Eve special from Miami on Fox.

 

Visit Florida says Pitbull was chosen for an ambassadorship because of his love of Florida and his strong ties to Latin America.Other ambassadors include chefEmerilLagasseand Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael.
