Regions Bank has been expanding its presence in Jacksonville over the past year, and now it’s taking another step forward.
The Alabama-based financial institution has opened a business loan center on Jacksonville’s Southside. The center, at the bank’s Deerwood Park office, will have a team of portfolio managers. They’ll work with business bankers throughout the company to streamline services like business-loan underwriting.
The bank set the center up there, it said, because of the pool of financial-services professionals in the workforce.
According to Jacksonville Business Journal research, the business and finance sector employs the fifth largest number of people on the First Coast.
