COVID-19 Business Perspective: EZ Event Ride
Event-based businesses are struggling due to COVID-19. Without traditional employee payrolls, they are unable to receive Paycheck Protection Program loans during the pandemic. EZ Event Ride, a company built around activity in the Downtown sports complex area, is among the event-based companies fighting for survival. Owner Bill Guerrant joined us with his perspective.
Neighborly is a resource guide aimed at helping immigrants, refugees, and low-income families in Northeast Florida. The guide allows users to find locations and information on providers of core services such as food, housing, and legal aid. Basma Alawee of the Florida Immigrant Coalition joined us with more.
Libraries Begin Phased Reopenings
The Jacksonville Public Library system is reopening in phases, starting with curbside pickup. Additionally, all book drops at all locations are now open for returns. Chris Boivin, Assistant Director of Community Relations and Marketing for the Jacksonville Public Library shared more with us about the reopening.
