St. Augustine's Sing Out Loud Goes Virtual This September

Aug 19, 2020

St. Augustine’s annual Sing Out Loud Festival is adjusting to the realities of the pandemic with what’s being called Sing Out Loud Festival Virtual Sessions.

Beginning September 12, the online festival will live stream performances by local musicians from outdoor locations around St. Johns County each Saturday and Sunday during the month of September.

Twenty-seven live-stream performances are planned in the natural surroundings of St. Johns County. The on-location backdrops are meant to provide visually appealing settings while also providing a safe environment for the artists and production teams.

Locations will include Nocatee Preserve, Alpine Groves Park, Beluthahatchee, Faver-Dykes State Park, Fort Mose, as well as the grounds of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

“We were all looking forward to celebrating and enjoying live entertainment this September, but for the safety and well-being of fans, staff, artists and our community, the standard form of the month-long festival will not take place this year,” said Gabe Pellicer in an email to WJCT News. Pellicer is the general manager of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

The 5th Annual Sing Out Loud Festival is expected to return in September of 2021.

The Sing Out Loud Virtual Sessions performances will be live streamed on the Sing Out Loud Festival website as well as the Sing Out Loud Festival Facebook Page.
