The Florida Department of Education (DOE) is trying to work out when it will be safe to reopen the public schools.

To help guide the planning process, the DOE is asking parents, educators and students to take what it’s calling an “education impact survey” on its website.

The short questionnaire asks for opinions on a number of issues, including whether schools should open in August or whether the start date should be postponed to until after Labor Day, which is September 7.

There are also questions about student access to computers and reliable internet service.

Parents, educators and students can take the survey here.
