Drivers who use the Stockton Street exit at the I-10/I-95 interchange should start looking for a new route.

The Florida Department of Transportation plans to close the exit on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. It will remain closed until fall 2020.

FDOT will have two detours in place.

Normal traffic detour: Traffic will take I-10 westbound to the McDuff Avenue exit. Then, make a right on McDuff Avenue followed by right on Edison Avenue and continue to Stockton Street (see map below).

Heavy truck traffic detour: Heavy trucks, such as semis, will take I-10 westbound to the McDuff Avenue exit. Then, make a left under the overpass and make another left to take the Interstate-10 eastbound on-ramp back to the Stockton Street exit (see map below).

The closure is part of the $126 million I-10/I-95 interchange improvements project. One additional lane is being added to both I-95 southbound and northbound across the Fuller Warren Bridge. And a shared-use path for pedestrians and bicyclists will run parallel to the southbound lanes along the bridge.
