With less than a week to go before the midterm elections, President Donald Trump is planning a campaign stop in Estero tonight.

People were already lined up late last night and early this morning. Today on Gulf Coast Live, we'll hear from some of the people already waiting outside Hertz Arena, formerly known as Germain Arena.

Meanwhile, just one mile away, Democratic Lieutenant Governor candidate Chris King held a news conference to denounce what he calls “lies” being spread by Republican gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis and President Trump.

WGCU's Andrea Perdomo was at the newser this morning and joins Gulf Coast Live with an update.

Plus, we’ll have discussion and analysis of this week’s events with Florida Gulf Coast University political science professors, Dr. Peter Bergerson and Dr. Roger Green.
