UPDATED: Baker County Teacher Arrested On Sex Charges

Baker County Sheriff's Office

A Baker County High School teacher who resigned after allegations surfaced that he had sex with a student was arrested over the weekend.

Baker County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Brunner, 29, Friday after investigators interviewed him, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Brunner, who coached and taught at the school, faces three charges of “unlawful sexual activity with certain minors” and one charge of sexual performance by a child, according to a release from the Sheriff's Office.

Law enforcement officials said the student was 16 years old when communication began with Brunner.

Baker County Superintendent Sherrie Raulersson said the school has referred the case to both the Florida Department of Education and the Department of Children and Families for review.

Raulerson said the minor was not Brunner’s student.

Brunner appeared in court Saturday via video, where his bond was set at $80,000.
