A new event called the Jacksonville Mini Maker Faire is scheduled for next weekend at the Museum of Science History.

MOSH Planetarium Director Eddie Whisler said he expects guests to be inspired by the projects they see and feel.

“Makers are going to be interacting. Guests are going to be putting their hands on, doing things, learning skills, at least seeing demonstrations of really quality work.”

Whisler said the Jacksonville Maker Faire is part of a national movement.

Marketing materials describe it as “the Greatest Show and Tell on Earth.”

The family-friendly showcase of inventions will be at the MOSH on Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Additional information, including applications and tickets, is available on the Jacksonville Maker Faire website.
