Driving on the sand at Vilano Beach will be prohibited, and swimming will be limited this weekend due to the Pro Watercross National Tour.

The restrictions will be in place on Saturday, May 1, and Sunday, May 2.

St. Johns County officials are encouraging Vilano Beach visitors to avoid swimming in the course set-up area from Vilano Road to the southern jetties on Friday, April 30, as well.

Pro Watercross National Tour spectators are encouraged to find alternative modes of transportation and parking locations.

Porpoise Point beach access will remain open and accessible for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Updates on beach access and driving conditions will be posted on St. Johns County’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Information is also available by calling 904-209-0331.
