Watch: UNF Student's Film Wins Best Picture At National Movie Fest In Atlanta

A University of North Florida senior has taken home top national honors at the Terminus Campus Movie Fest in Atlanta for his short film: Imitations.

Connor Dolby said his five minute long movie was actually up for a number of awards.

“Our film was nominated for Best Direction, Best Production Design, Best Drama … and then we took home Best Picture, which is the best award of the night,” Dolby said.

His movie, Imitations, is a science fiction tale about a clone that switches identity with his human original in order to stay alive.

“So the original captures the imitation and locks him up. And then, in order to live in this world freely, the imitation swaps places with the original. And so, at the end of the film, the wrong guy’s taken away.”

Dolby will graduate from UNF next spring with a major in graphic design and digital media along with a minor in film studies.
