The Cincinnati Bengals visit the First Coast on Sunday to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville’s final home preseason game. The Jaguars look to provide their fans a home victory before the regular season gets underway. The game begins at 8 p.m. at EverBank Field.
The Bold City Brigade is hosting The Bold City Ball to benefit the Blake Bortles Foundation from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday. The ball will be held at the newly renovated U.S. Assure East Club at EverBank Field. The $30 ticket includes admission, a drink, a commemorative gift, parking and one raffle ticket. There is no dress code, and the event will feature two DJ’s, a Q&A with Bortles and other Jaguars, indoor/outdoor bars, charity raffle, concession stands and photo booth. All ticket proceeds go directly to the Blake Bortles Foundation.
Actor, comedian and singer Wayne Brady will perform Saturday at the Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts. The current host of the iconic "Let’s Make A Deal" game show will be bringing his brand of improv to the First Coast for a one-of-a-kind show. Tickets range from $49-$100 and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
National Parks celebrate their 100th anniversary this weekend. The fun kicks off with a presentation from local national park rangers showcasing what each park has to offer. Following the presentation, guests are shown a 3D IMAX documentary about the national parks of America. There are two opportunities to participate in the celebrations with one presentation starting at 10 a.m. and another starting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The event will be held at the IMAX Theatre at World Golf Hall of Fame. Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $6.50 for students, seniors, and military, $6 for children and children younger than age 3 get in free.
Celebrate the end of summer with BUD Light. Fireworks, drinks, and good food are just some of the things to expect at this event taking place at the Jacksonville Landing. This event is free for the public and will have live music from Ryan Crary and Who Rescued Who. The festivities kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday and lasts until 1 a.m. on Sunday.
Calling all throwback Hip-Hop heads, the Veterans Memorial Arena will be holding a concert at 7 p.m. Saturday. Fans will recognize some of their favorite platinum legends, including DMX, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Trina, Juvenile, Scarface, JT Money, Bigga Rankin and more. Tickets start at $30.
