New drone photos released over the weekend by City Councilman Matt Carlucci show that a controversial monument is topped with a Confederate flag. The stars of the flag can be seen atop the Women of the Southland Statue in Springfield Park. Councilman Carlucci says he took these photos to clear up any confusion as to the flag’s symbolism.
