On today's show, we catch up on the latest tumult at JEA, including the end to CEO Jay Stowe’s four-year tenure at the city-owned utility.
Stowe resigned in a "mutual" agreement with the JEA board. We’re joined by Florida Times-Union Metro Columnist Nate Monroe to discuss that, as well as a new filing by former (now convicted) JEA CEO Aaron Zahn, who is asking the federal judge in his case to either acquit him or grant him a new trial.
Then we talk about opportunities to participate in the 54th annual Earth Day on April 22. This year’s theme: the planet versus plastics.
Guests:
- Anne Marie Moquin, founder of Beaches Go Green.
- Steph Morse, outreach engagement specialist with the St. Johns Riverkeeper.
- Samantha Ryan, president of Sisters of the Sea.
- Bob Patterson, singer/songwriter and organizer of the annual Lullaby of the Rivers festival in Vilano Beach.
We also talk to multiskilled performer Jason Woods about his upcoming performances of The Near-Disaster of Jasper & Casper.
