A Duval County School Board workshop focusing on student achievement turned into a heated personal tiff among a few school board members Tuesday.

The last day for Duval County School Board candidates to qualify for the ballot is Friday.

With four seats up for grabs, three candidates have raised substantially more money than the 11 others.

The Duval County School Board met Tuesday before the regular board meeting to talk about its strained relationship with the superintendent.

Last month, board member Connie Hall told Superintendent Nikolai Vitti she didn’t like the tone he used while addressing board members in a workshop on Oct. 13.
