Florida Gov. Rick Scott says he’ll be watching Tuesday’s Republican debate on CNN.

On Monday in Jacksonville, the Republican governor said the GOP candidates should focus on four key areas: job creation, balancing the federal budget, regulation reduction and ISIS.

 

In a new book, UNF political science professor Dr. Ronald Libby argues that the Tea Party wing of the Republican party has eclipsed the traditional GOP establishment this election cycle, with much of the attention focused on outsider candidates like Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson. We speak with Libby about his book, "Purging the Republican Party: Tea Party Campaigns and Elections."
