Travelers will soon be able to head to a new exotic location from Jacksonville. Silver Airways said Thursday it’s starting nonstop service to the Bahamas in May.

The service has been requested for a while, the airline’s CEO said. During certain times of the year, the Bahamas are known for getting an influx of Jacksonville residents.

The airline will also have flights to Nassau from Tampa, Fort Myers and West Palm Beach.

On March 31, Silver will be running a special on the tickets. Flights to the islands will be $99 one way.
