Gloria MacKenzie, the 84-year-old Zephyrhills woman who won the largest single lottery jackpot in American history earlier this year, has purchased a home in a Jacksonville gated community, according to a story from the Tampa Bay Times.

Records show that MacKenzie has paid nearly $1.2 million for a 6,322-square-foot, five-bedroom home in the Glen Kernan Country Club community in southeast Jacksonville.

The two-story, lake-front house is described as "'majestic,' with a curved staircase, home theater and wet bar, fireplace, library, 4-1/2 baths, a chef's kitchen and a full-sized laundry room."

MacKenzie claimed the $590 million Powerball winning last month, and chose to take a lump sum totaling $278 million after taxes.

You can read more about her story, and see photos of MacKenzie's new and former homes, on the Times site.
