Trucks and cars on the beach have been a Florida tradition. But it's also proved to be a dangerous combination.
A woman was run over last month while sunbathing in Nassau County, leading to a renewed push by some that say all First Coast area beaches should be vehicle-free.
Pedestrian vehicles are still allowed on several First Coast area beaches such as Vilano, St. Augustine and Fernandina. Jacksonville Beach banned vehicles back in the 1970s.

National Save A Life Day
Thursday is National Save A Life Day. Four years ago, the American Heart Association began suggesting hands-on CPR for the public. Knowing how to perform CPR until help arrives can increase chance of survival by two to three times. Doctor Andrew Schmidt, Nurse Rita Duke, and TramaOne Preventable Death Coordinator Kristin Levita joined us with more.
67th Annual Florida folk festival
Every Memorial Day Weekend, the oldest state-produced festival in the U.S. comes to life along the banks of the Suwannee River at Stephen Foster State Park. The Florida Folk Festivalcelebrates music and Florida culture.
Spokesman and featured artist Tom Shed joined us to play a song that he will sing at the festival. The festival will run from May 24 -May 26.
