The Florida Theatre had to close its doors in mid-March due to the COVID-19 shutdown, leaving a lot of people without pay. To help, the theatre created the Show Worker Relief Fund, which will be shared by 97 part-time workers. The theatre has also started a project called Reading Red Carpet, where local people of influence and some surprise celebrity guests read children’s stories on video.

Numa Saisselin, president of The Florida Theatre, joined us with the details.
