The JTA has voted to support a six cent gas tax. The local mask mandate has been lifted andthe age to receive a COVID vaccine has been lowered to age 16 and up.

Matt Carlucci, a Jacksonville City Council member and a mayoral candidate, joined us with his thoughts on these and other issues facing the city. 

'Anti-Riot' Bill

Critics of Florida's HB1, which some are calling the “Anti-Riot” bill,say the act will attempt to silence protestors. However, government officials claim that it will help prevent violent protest. Dr. Rick Harper, an economist and director of theUniversity of West Florida Haas Center for Business Research and Economic Development, joined us with more.

'Huddle: How Women Unlock Their Collective Power'

CNN news anchor Brooke Baldwin joined us to discuss her new book Huddle: How Women Unlock Their Collective Power. The goal of the book is to understand the power of female empowerment and how women are each other’s best resource.
