Coronavirus infections have ramped up in the nation. Specifically, half of the new infections are in five states; including Florida, which is seeing variants of the deadly virus.

The situation has put pressure on the federal government to accurately and properly distribute vaccines. Chad Neilsen, Director of Accreditation & Infection Prevention at UF Health Jacksonville, joined us with some insights.

Fair Housing

Housing has become a huge issue during this pandemic. If you are at risk of eviction, there is a fair housing symposium Saturday, April 10, to help make sure you know your rights.  Jacksonville Human Rights Commission Executive Director Wendy Byndloss joined us with the details.

JCCI

The Jacksonville Community Council Inc., better known as JCCI, has returned after a five year hiatus. New Board Chair Raymon Day joined us to explain why.

Head Case

Jacksonville author Michael Wiley has a reputation for writing crime novels set in his home state of Chicago, but has also made a name for himself  in Florida.  His new book Head Case is out now, and he spoke to us about it.
