Jacksonville Hurricane Preparedness Fairs Scheduled

A Jacksonville City Councilwoman is launching an effort to make sure people are well-prepared for this year’s hurricane season.

District 8’s Katrina Brown plans to hold four events she’s calling Hurricane Preparedness Fairs.

Brown said representatives from JEA and other agencies will be on hand to talk about available resources and to answer questions.

The first Hurricane Preparedness Fair is Thursday evening from 6 to 8 at the Highlands Library at 1826  Dunn Avenue.

The others are scheduled as follows:

Northwest Jacksonville CDC

May 17, 6 – 8 p.m.

Bradham-Brooks Library

1755 Edgewood Ave. W.

May 19, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Cisco Gardens Community Center

4244 Jones Road

June 2, 10 a.m.  – 2:00 p.m.
