Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry’s annual budget address is set for Monday morning at City Hall downtown.

The special City Council meeting will start at 9.

Last year, the mayor’s nearly $1.3 billion spending plan included funding for additional police officers, numerous road and park improvement projects, and a community athletic field at Edward Waters College.

The City Council Finance c=Committee will go over the mayor’s budget proposal with a fine tooth comb before it comes up for a final vote.

The budget will take effect October 1.
