As evidence in his suit, Mark Tumeo submitted text messages between himself and former UNF President John Delaney, in which Delaney criticized the handling of the case by current UNF President David Szymanski.

UNF’s student-run media outlet The Spinnaker broke the news of the text messages this week.

According to text messages obtained by The Spinnaker, Delaney wrote, "this is bull****," and in another, "I haven't found anything Szymanski has done that I agree with. Including this."
