A Jacksonville-based U.S. Customs and Border Protection crew has intercepted 3,670 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $48 million.
The P-3 Orion crew located and tracked a large low-profile go-fast vessel in the Eastern Pacific over the course of two days, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The National Air Security Operations Center-Jacksonville forms half of the P-3 operations wing, along with its partner center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The P-3 aircraft operate throughout North and South America to thwart attempts to smuggle people, drugs or other contraband.
