The public defender representing 14-year-old Aiden Fucci entered a written not guilty plea on his behalf Thursday in the murder of 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey.

WJCT News partner News4Jax reported the plea was accepted by the court.

The move cancels Fucci’s scheduled arraignment in St. Johns County, which had been set for June 10.

He is now slated to appear in court for a pretrial hearing at 9 a.m. July 28.

Fucci, who is now in the juvenile wing of the Duval County jail, will be tried as an adult in the stabbing death of Bailey.
