Home prices rise again in Northeast Florida

Home prices are rising faster than incomes in Northeast Florida, pricing more people out of homebuying.

Typical home prices in Northeast Florida surged to $325,000 in November, close to one-quarter more than buyers paid a year earlier, data from the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors shows.

The median sales price for homes of all types rose $25,000 since June and 23.6 percent since November 2020, according to data the group released last week. Single-family house prices climbed to a median price of $350,000.

The price hike has accompanied a relative shortage of homes for sale that has shrunk the inventory of First Coast homes on the market by nearly one-third since November 2020.
