Smoking and vaping will no longer be allowed on beaches in Neptune Beach.

City Council voted unanimously Monday to ban smoking and vaping at public parks and beaches.

Several other cities already had bans in parks or beaches. Among them: Jacksonville Beach, Fernandina Beach, Atlantic Beach and St. Augustine.

Florida last year enacted a law that allows cities and counties to ban smoking at beaches and parks.
