FSU To Begin Searching For New President

FSU President John Thrasher is looking to retire. In a statement, Thrasher says he looks toward a future where he can focus on his family and pursue other interests

Current FSU President John Thrasher and Board of Trustees Chair Ed Burr say the school will begin the process to search for a new president. They pointed to the ‘potential impacts of COVID-19’ on why they wanted to kickstart the process. Burr says he doesn’t plan to name an interim president. Thrasher will stay in his position until a new president takes over. The FSU Board of Trustees will meet again to discuss creating a presidential search committee.
