Economists paint dire predictions of budget bill's impact on national debt

A Republican tax and spending bill is projected to add trillions to an already ballooning national debt. After Moody’s downgraded the U.S. credit rating, economists say the debt may soon hamper growth and disadvantage regular Americans.

Economist Rebecca Patterson, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, joins us.
