Jazz Fest After Dark Offers Festival Goers More Entertainment After The Day's Concerts

downtownjacksonville.org

The City of Jacksonville, The Elbow and many other organizations are working together to keep the party going long after the last act at Jazz Fest has stopped playing.

"A lot of fans come downtown for Jazz Fest but they didn't necessarily know where they could go afterwards for a drink or to hear some more live music," Downtown Vision Inc.'s Kat Hardwick says.

Organizers decided to create Jazz Fest After Dark to solve that problem and to showcase downtown Jacksonville's nightlife.

Jazz Fest After Dark is a 3-day, late night event in Jacksonville's downtown entertainment district, The Elbow. 1904 Music Hall, Burro Bar and Underbelly, among others, will all feature live music every night of Jazz Fest. Jazz Fest After Dark starts at 10:00 PM and runs until 2:00 AM.  It's free to everyone, and you must be 21 and up.

Jazz Fest After Dark features performances by Al Leston & Willie Evans Jr., Ahleuchatistas, Canary In the Coalmine, Stokeswood and many more.  For a complete lineup and list of locations visit jazzfestafterdark.com.  Acts range from jazz to soul to funk, bluegrass to hip-hop to latin.
