It's a bird... It's a plane... It's Super-mentsh!?Larry Tye, author of Superman: The High-Flying History of America’s Most Enduring Hero and former Boston Globe reporter, will be speaking at the Jacksonville Jewish Community Alliance tonight as part of their 2013 Jewish Book Festival.
The book is a first full-fledged history of the Man of Steel that shows how Superman has tapped into the American psyche like no other character. And did you know he was Jewish?
Superman has also retained his popularity over 75 years on page and screen, becoming one of the few heroes kids can talk to their grandparents about.
Larry Tye joined Melissa Ross to preview his talk and discuss the history of Superman.
