Mixing Genres With Cellist Dave Eggars At The Florida Theatre

When cellist and composer Dave Eggar got tired of playing only classical music, he combined his classical training with his eclectic musical tastes to create a sound that is all his own.Dave Eggar’s band Deoro and the Irish hip-hop dance sensations Hammerstep will perform at the Florida Theatre on Thursday night.

Eggar has been recording with American Idol winner Phillip Phillips on his upcoming sophomore album and can also be heard on the brand new record from Roseanne Cash, among other projects.

Eggar joined Melissa Ross to talk about how he developed his sound and give a preview of his performance.
