NOLA MOCA’s Women of the Knife

Fine dining brought to you by six amazing women. Guests ages 21 and up will be treated to a six-course meal along with accompanying drinks at the Museum of Contemporary Art from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. The cost of such a pleasure is $125 per person and is all inclusive. Space is limited so act fast.

Yin Yoga

Experience the soothing effects of Yoga from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m Friday at the Soluna Yoga + Spa, located at 4154 Herschel St. The Soluna Yoga + Spa is offering $15 Yin Yoga classes taught by Darcy. This class is intended to increase flexibility and circulation.   

Fernandina Beach Market Place

Come out and enjoy the unique creations of Fernandina Beach natives at the Fernandina Beach Market Place. Live music and local arts and crafts are just some of the things to expect when visiting the Fernandina Beach Market Place starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The event goes on rain or shine and ends at 1 p.m. It’s a great way to find unique trinkets and try some local food. It is located at North Seventh Street and is free of cost.

Mac and Cheese Fest

Mac and cheese lovers rejoice. For $15, mac and cheese lovers will have the opportunity to try eight unique mac and cheese samples while enjoying live music at BlackfinnAmeripub from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. VIP tickets are available for $20, which lets you skip the lines and the wait by coming in at noon to begin sampling the eight mac and cheese creations. Drink specials will also be made available to guests 21 and up, all ages are welcome to join in the other festivities.

Big Cats and Back to School

Tiger at Catty Shack Ranch

Lions, Tigers, and Cougars, Oh My! Come out to Catty Shack Ranch to celebrate back to school with a 45-minute tour of its residents. Catty Shack Ranch will be opening its doors to the public to showcase its 23 tigers, two lions, five cougars, four black Asian leopards, bobcat, four coatimundis, and many foxes on Saturday from 1 p.m to 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.  

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Enjoy a blast from the past with the 50th anniversary showing of this award winning movie thanks to the Summer Movie Classics Series brought to you by The Florida Theatre. The Florida Theatre is rounding out its Summer Movie Classic Series Sunday at 2 p.m. by showing Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The movie which centers around the ensuing chaos that arises when Martha, the wife of George, invites a younger couple over for a few drinks. Tickets for the show are $7.50.
