Jacksonville Agricultural Fair

The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair runs through Nov. 13. The fair is open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. On Friday, there will be live musical performances by Clayton Anderson and Easton Corbin, starting at 7 p.m. This 13-day event features carnival rides, a variety of food and entertainment throughout the day, including a firefighter show and pig racing. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, $5 for seniors 65 and older and children ages 5 and younger get in free. Starry Night

Through high power telescopes, stargazers will be able to view the night sky from a different angle starting at 6 p.m Friday. The Florida Museum of Natural History will host a night among the stars in which guests will be able to not only stargaze but see a portable planetarium show and view a 3-D moonscape. This event is free and runs until 10 p.m.

Spend the day visiting ponds on the Water and Garden Tour with Earth Works Garden Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. If a more hands-on activity is what you’re looking for, then there will also be a Build A Pond workshop in which participants can learn what it takes to make a pond from beginning to end. This is a free event and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. guests can visit the Garden Center to relax, eat and ask questions.

ZZ Top

The legendary beards of Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill will be at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Saturday. Along with beardless drummer Frank Beard, the trio has been playing together for 40 years, and is known for hits such as “Sharp Dressed Man,” “La Grange,” and “Legs.” Tickets range in price from $50 to $95. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Notre Dame vs. Navy

The Notre Dame/Navy college football rivalry is coming to Jacksonville Saturday. The game features a special “Honoring Our Heroes” theme, and will pay tribute to servicemen and women during the game. Attendees can also get in free to the Jacksonville Agricultural Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with their ticket stubs. Kickoff is at 11:30 a.m. Tickets start at $50.

Jacksonville Sea & Sky Airshow

Be sure to visit the Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to watch a jaw-dropping airshow by the world famous Navy flight demonstration squad, the Blue Angels, and other flight teams. The aircrafts will flip, turn and twist through the clouds. There will also be live entertainment, simulators and more. The event is free; however VIP Cabana viewing is available for $15 for children and $25 for adults.
