The Jacksonville Public Library opened a new space Thursday to give start-up founders a place to collaborate.
A peer support group called the Jacksonville Community of Entrepreneurs, which formed from this year's One Spark, will meet on the second floor of the downtown library to provide mentoring, networking opportunities and workshops.
Raquel Steffens is one of the community’s co-founders. She says the library provides a space where anyone can develop their ideas.
“We are really trying to build and grow the community of entrepreneurs here in Jacksonville where they feel like the have the assistance and the resources and support they need,” she said.
The meetings and workshops will happen the first and third Tuesday of every month starting June 2.
