Florida Gov. Rick Scott kicked off a two-day business-recruiting trip in Kentucky Tuesday.
Scott met with Kentucky business owner Chris Yeazel, who’s expanding his 1st Choice Aerospace into Broward County.
“And they made a choice,” Scott said. “They could either expand in Kentucky or they could expand in Florida, and they chose Florida. That means 40 families in Florida are going to have a great job because Florida is a great place to do business.”
As the News Service of Florida reports, Scott is meeting with several business owners in Lexington and Louisville this week.
The Kentucky trip is the Republican governor’s fourth domestic economic-development mission of the year. Each trip has been to a state with a Democratic governor.
