One of Jacksonville’s oldest retail centers is on the market.
Gateway Town Center is up for sale, with an asking price of $12 million.
The center is anchored by a Publix supermarket, but many of the other spaces there are empty: The center’s vacancy rate is 60 percent.
That vacancy rate is reflected in the price tag, though, which is only $20 per square foot.
The current owners bought the 53-acre property in 2012 after it was foreclosed on. Recently, the enclosed mall part of the property was completed closed up.
